The Kashantee Village is an exotic stay in Seminyak that primarily caters to couples, honeymooners and backpackers. It features an expansive swimming pool complete with a pool-side swim up bar serving island-inspired cocktails and mocktails. Poolside sun loungers and a splash-pool further up the holiday feels. Also delightful is the resort’s in-house poolside restaurant that features traditional balinese interiors and serves delicious cuisines. Then, there are the bungalows and apartment-style rooms where guests can unwind and recharge before heading back to the usual 9 to 5.
From the Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Kashantee Village is approximately 15 kilometres away. A hire-car ride to the resort usually comes under an hour, one that takes guests across the heart of Seminyak before just a short stroll from the Batu Belig beach.
The resort offers free-standing bungalows and apartment-style Bali accommodations. Each room showcases traditional architectural influences, complete with spacious and comfortable beds. Timber flooring and wooden hues add to character, while sliding doors and large windows flood the space with natural light and fresh air. The rooms feature modern furniture, contemporary ensuites, amenities and appliances that make for an effortless island holiday in the tropics.
For a detailed review of the rooms and their amenities, please check the ‘Rooms at Kashantee Village’ section above.
When it comes to things to do at the Kashantee Village, the primary directive is… relaxation. Guests at the resort have multiple ways to unwind, starting from soaking in the serene garden views to lounging in the splash pool and sunbathing. Floating gently in the main pool is also an excellent option, with pool-side refreshments a couple of breaststrokes away. Post a swim and several cocktails later, guests can simply dry off, change and head to the poolside restaurant for meals. This is the resort’s main restaurant that features Balinese decor through and through. Open to the elements on one side and sporting large windows on the others, the restaurant remains a cool and inviting place that serves lip-smacking domestic and international cuisines.
For a touch more serenity and to stretch the legs, holidaymakers can visit the Batu Belig beach. This black-sand beach is just 200 metres from the Kashantee Village and popular for its picturesque sunsets. At the beach, popular activities include kite-flying, volleyball, soccer and horse riding. Swimming and snorkelling are not advised given the rough tides and strong undercurrents.
The Batu Belig beach also has quite a few colourful bars and plenty of restaurants and warungs on the street leading up to the beach. They are a great opportunity to connect with the locals and other holidaymakers alike, and sample regional and international delights.
