To reach Grand Mirage Resort, Bali for a Bali holiday, travellers will need to land at the Ngurah Rai International Airport. Flights to I Gusti Ngurah Rai are regular from Australia and New Zealand, taking between four to six hours when flying from Australia and up to 12 hours when flying from New Zealand. 

Once at the Denpasar International Airport, guests can avail the hire-car that comes pre-packaged with their Bali holiday deal. Hiring a private cab is also an option. Once the wheels start rolling, it’s a 20-minute ride to the resort down the picturesque Bali Mandala overwater road. 

Accommodations at the Grand Mirage, Nusa Dua

Accommodations at the Grand Mirage Resort Nusa Dua are located in the Main building and in the Family Paradise building. Similar in size, decor and amenities, the only differentiating factor is the views. From the main building, one can usually enjoy clear views of the vegetation, the pools and the beach; the Family Paradise rooms are all about partial views. What the family paradise building lacks in terms of direct-line-of-sight views, it makes up for it with close proximity to the beach — just two minutes! 

While the interiors and in-room amenities may vary based on the room type, what does not vary is the friendly service, attention to detail and the opportunity to unwind in a slice of paradise. Rooms feature king beds, queen beds or both in some cases; bunk beds for kids, entertainment options like Tv, WiFi and tea/coffee making amenities. Plus, the ensuites come with a modern shower, towels, toiletries, and in some cases a bathtub.

Dining at the Resort

With seven restaurants and two bar cum lounges, dining is a mini-activity here at the Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali. 

Grand Cafe:

Open 24 hours, the Grand Cafe is a courtyard style restaurant that’s bright and breezy. Here, guests can enjoy buffet breakfasts, lunch and dinner under the shade of an indoor tree. There’s also an option for a la carte menu where patrons pay as they go. Grand Cafe offers International and Asian cuisines with Indian and Chinese breakfast corners. The restaurant looks out to the pool and to the Indian ocean beyond.  

Ibu Kitchen:

Ibu kitchen is where guests wanting a taste of Indonesian excellence end up. This Grand Mirage restaurant invites patrons to experience Indonesian recipes made using local spices and freshest produce. Open throughout the day, Ibu kitchen offers buffet meals as well as an a la carte menu in a modern minimalist setting with golden hues. 

Rama Live Entertainment:

A delightful mix of live cultural performance and delightful dishes, Rama Live Entertainment is Grand Mirage’s themed dinner experience in an open-air setting. The venue can seat up to 250 guests at a go in a simple island-inspired setting. Balmy breezes and the gentle murmur of the Indian ocean further adds to the ambience. The themed dinner runs from 7 to 10 pm but maybe subject to change.  

Bumbu Delhi:

The taste of Incredible India in Bali, Bumbu Delhi delights with authentic and fusion Indian dishes. Options range from halal products to vegetarian delights. With a capacity for 50 people and operating between the hours 7 and 10 pm, this is a premium dining experience at the Grand Mirage in Nusa Dua, Bali. 

Chopstick:

Chopstick is the resort’s Chinese seafood restaurant located in the family paradise building. Patrons enjoy choice Chinese dishes in a calm oriental setting. Operates from 11 am to 10 pm and seats up to 100 people at any time. 

Jukung Seafood:

Jukung Restaurant is less about eating and more about experiencing the taste of fresh catch(seafood) grilled to perfection in an al-fresco setting. Well-appointed with Balinese artwork and furniture, it can cater up to 80 patrons at a time and operates between 11 am and 10 pm. 

Mahi Mahi:

Located by the resort’s main pool, Mahi Mahi is designed to be an escape from the tropical sun. The interior is excellently ventilated with open sides and latticed walls. Here, guests can enjoy a variety of mouth-watering dishes in a laid-back setting.  Operating hours are from 11 am to 6 pm.

Coconut Pool Bar:

The Coconut pool bar at the Grand Mirage, Bali is an invitation to sip on tropical cocktails and mocktails. The USP—Coconut cocktails where the coconuts are sourced fresh from coconut trees on the property. The bar caters to swimmers and guests from 11 am to 6 pm. 

Panorama Bar and Music Lounge:

Panorama Bar and Music Lounge delights patrons with tropical cocktails and popular classics. The interior is a medley between the timber flooring, cream coloured walls and lattice work. Connect with fellow travellers to Bali over live music and panoramic views.

JJ Rooftop Lounge:

Located atop the Jukung Seafood restaurant, JJ operates from 5 in the evening till 11 in the night. Appointed with island-inspired furniture for 30 people; JJ is meant for travellers who like to pair their beverages with gentle conversations, soothing breezes and star-lit skies. 

Romantic dining:

Not a restaurant but a service, where guests can book a beach side candlelight dinner for two. Sample a set menu with exquisite dishes and spirits. Since seats are limited, booking in advance is mandatory.
